As we continue to progress season after season, we learn many things. As a result, we continue to refine our services to match our core values and overall mission. Our core values include giving customers a better service than "Franchise Companies" because of our local connections. The owner lives here, like you! He doesn't have offices in many states, thus never knowing the customers personally.

 

   The Changes We Made For 2022. 

  1. Lawn mowing services are now subscription-based... month-to-month.

  2. Services are now pre-paid monthly.

  3. Bi-weekly pricing will now reflect our studied time to complete vs weekly yards of the same size.

  4. Kevin J Services will no longer mow wet grass.

 

 Why did we make these changes? 

 Lawn mowing services are now subscription-based... month-to-month. 

As Kevin J Services took on 4x's the number of customers in 2021 than the year before, it became tougher to take on 1-time customers or customers who only wanted service when they felt it was needed and still deliver excellent service to regular paying customers. To serve all customers better, Kevin J Services has decided to ask for monthly commitments from everyone wanting lawn mowing. Customers will pay one price per month for either the 4-5 scheduled visit package (weekly mowing) or the 2-3 scheduled visit package (Bi-weekly mowing) per month.

 

 Services are now pre-paid monthly.

Example: A payment on April 28th is for services rendered in May. Payments will also be auto deducted from your credit/debit card on the same day each month.

 

This will help keep your lawn care prices as low as possible as prices for materials, gas, and other service-related expenses continue to rise. We are hoping to eliminate a lot of administration tasks to offset the rising expenses rather than passing all the cost increases to you.

 

To illustrate, a customer who would receive 4 -5 invoices per month for 1 property, would now be billed 1-time each month before services are rendered. Not only does the auto-payment save on office work on creating invoices or chasing down payments, but you as a customer have fewer emails to worry about, and fewer errors when forgetting to submit payments on time which could interrupt service.

 

 

 Bi-weekly pricing will now reflect our studied time to complete vs weekly yards of the same size.

Bi-weekly lawns need more care than weekly lawns. Last year it was hard to give the care needed, especially during rainy times. As a result, bi-weekly lawns are now priced to reflect the time we need to allocate to mowing the yard efficiently.

 

As Kevin J Services moves away from basic lawn mowing to lawn care, our mowing services need to reflect the commitment level to help customers achieve the healthiest lawn possible. This would in reality mean weekly mowing, but we can do better for bi-weekly customers, and prices must reflect Kevin J Services' increased commitment.

  

 

 Kevin J Services will no longer mow wet grass. 

Despite whether a customer cares or not, Kevin J Services will no longer risk damaging lawns, leaving green tire treads in driveways, or injury caused by mowing wet grass. The damage to grass might not be seen right away, but it can kill growth, and cause Brown Patch Disease.

 


 Payment Terms For Lawn Mowing Services. 

  Payments

  • Services are pre-paid for the next month's services. (Example: A payment made on April 28th is for May's lawn maintenance.)

  • After the first payment, your credit/debit card will be auto-charged on the same day each month. (Example: A first payment made is on April 28th then the next payment will be automatically deducted May 28th)

  • If your first payment is made on a month with 31 days, the payments will be applied to the last day of each month.

  • Once payment is made, you agree for us to spend funds on supplies and materials, and dedicate funds to payroll, thus refunds will not be made. If you want to cancel your subscription, please do so before payments are auto-deducted. You will not be refunded for payments made before cancellation, so Kevin J Services can either finish out the paid services, or you could receive a credit towards a future service. The credited amount will be determined by Kevin j Services LLC.

 Scheduling of Lawn Mowing Services 

  • You are not agreeing to a set amount of services per month, but for monthly maintenance of your lawn via lawn mowing, lawn edging, and lawn trimming. However, Kevin J services will put you on a regular schedule, either weekly or bi-weekly depending on your package, and we will do our best to fulfill that schedule based on weather conditions.

  • Kevin J Services may reschedule a service based on weather conditions, equipment issues, or holidays.

  • The set ETA is just a guide, and should not be viewed as a set time for service. Additionally, as we grow, services dates may change to better route our customers efficiently, and keep fuel cost at a minimum by servicing customers close to one another on the same day rather than driving back and forth aimlessly.

  • Kevin J services will not mow wet grass.

  • If Kevin J Services cannot reschedule your lawn service before and within 5 days of your next service date, you will thereby understand that there will be twice as much care for the lawn on the next service date, thus credits or refunds will not be applied to skipped services due to mother nature. Your understanding is that you pay for monthly maintenance and not the number of services.

 Canceling Your Subscription 

  • If you want to cancel your subscription, please do so before payments are auto-deducted.

  • You will not be refunded for payments made before cancellation, so Kevin J Services can either finish out the paid services, or you could receive a credit towards a future service. The credited amount will be determined by Kevin j Services LLC.

  • You may cancel your service in the following ways:

  3. Through the job confirmation email, you receive 48 hours prior to your next service date.

Kevin J Services Changes Accounting Software

Kevin J Services has upgraded its accounting software for 2021. This change comes in harmony with the  business name change , going from a sole-proprietorship to an LLC. Kevin Johnsons Tasks And Errand Services Soon Will Be Phased Out

 Kevin Johnson's Task and Errand Services will soon be phased out. Don't worry if you live in their service areas... the business is only phasing out its name. As the business moves forward, there was growth in 2020 from 2019, and this growth has lead to a change when it comes to the business entity.  Kevin J Sevices LLC will now serve as the business name, and by early January 2020, clients will start seeing this show up on invoices, emails, and other areas of the business. The domain name will not change.  A lot of factors were considered when making the change including: Separating the legal liability from the owner's personal assets.
